Brief Overview: Leaves nothing in the bag onstage and brings maximum soulful energy to vocals and jam forward keyboards to fill in the gaps for Kingfish.

Musical Background

Early Influences: been goofing with every instrument I could get my hands on since I was 5. Trumpet, guitar, percussion, and lots of singing in choirs and groups. I finally landed on keyboards. Put my 10,000 hours in and now in my 50’s, I realized I needed to perform and here we are. Best thing ever.
Previous Bands/Projects: played a few gigs with Mockingbird Jam – a classic rock band, in 2023.
Instrument Proficiency: I am an experienced vocalist (tenor). I have been playing piano and keyboards for 30 years, but only got serious about performing since 2022. I play a Roland Juno DS88. It is an awesome instrument to perform with, from organs and clavs to great sounding pianos. Even throw in some brass here and there, at least until we have our own horn section. 😉

Key Responsibilities: Bringing passion to every performance of every song.
Favorite Song to Perform: One Way Out – Allman Brothers. So much to love about this song, from the rollicking guitars to the bluesy jams and a chance to stretch out the pipes a bit.
Memorable Performance: playing the Kraken in my hometown of Encinitas, with friends and family, a packed house, ocean air…what more could you ask for?

Hobbies and Interests: love teaching, pitbulls, and scotch.
Fun Fact: 6:00am Saturday hot tubs. Book it.
Favorite Band/Artist: The Grateful Dead taught me how music can be different and evolving and glorious all at the same time. Phish has become my passion musically, and I love all of the jam band scene from Widespread Panic to Goose. I love bands who write music to be interpreted differently every time they play it. I love singers with soul. Chris Robinson, Robert Plant, Stevie Wonder..

Goals with Kingfish: to play music that allows our audience to have as much fun as we are.
Personal Ambitions: solo act is in the works. Coming to a lounge near you.
